**MAIN **PURPOSE / OBJECTIVE OF THE POSITION**

Client based in Burgesfort seeking mining staff

**QUALIFICATIONS**

**Minimum**
- National Senior Certificate (Grade 12) or equivalent
- Bachelor’s Degree (BSc or B.eng) in Metallurgy or in a similar field
- Registered member of the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA), Southern African Institute of

Mining and Metallurgy (SAIMM) or similar.
- Valid Driver’s License
- Minimum 9-10 years’experience as a metallurgist in a Gold/Platinum operation or similar role
- Minimum 5 years’ experience on a 5G enabled mine
- Experience in a green-field project/start-up mine essential

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- English: Fully Proficient
- Mandarin: Fully Proficient (preferred)
- Computer Literate (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Additional computer program (AutoCAD, SAP) knowledge advantageous
- Comprehensive knowledge of Gold/copper/Platinum metallurgical process.
- Metallurgical / Plant processing software is necessary.
- Mathematical skills
- Metallurgical process and plant operating skills
- Excellent proficiency in data analysis and statistical process control
- Good technical report writing and presentation skills.
- Problem-solving and analytical skills
