**Line Manager**: Regional Distribution Manager

**Job Specification**:
**Key Performance Areas**:
**Picking of Stock**
- Using a printed picking sheet, collect stock from authorized pick face, place it safely on a pallet, and transport it to the correct allocated cage
- Picking the correct material code with the correct quantity and the correct batch number
- Reporting any anomaly to your line manager with regard to stock
- Making sure that the stock is protected from damages on the pallet by using slip sheets

**Maintains a Clean Workplace**
- Picking stock from one pallet at a time
- Dusting and cleaning waste as a result of damages caused by your pallet jack - immediately
- Placing waste in the correct allocated bin
- Avoiding damaging of products by incorrect handling of bags, cases etc.
- Report any damages to the Inventory team immediately

**Operate the pallet jack safely at all times**
- Operating safely means: careful at the blind corners, to watch out for pedestrians and forklifts
- Operating your pallet jack in such a way and speed to keep damages to company products and property to an absolute minimum, i.e. to stay clear from racks and not to drop pallets and stock
- Reporting any accidents your pallet jack is involved in and any damages to your supervisor immediately
- Adhering to MARSH and SHEQ policies and procedures

**Assist with Stock control and any warehouse requirements, by**:

- Assisting the inventory team with daily cycle count
- Follow SOP’s for picking function
- Focus on picking international, long haul and wholesale orders
- Assisting with cycle counts by physically counting stock as and when required and instructed by your line manager
- Prepare warehouse for quarterly stock take
- Follow company rules and regulations
- Follow all reasonable operation instructions
- Available to work overtime when required

**Knowledge Required**:

- VMI - Vendor management Inventory (Pick, Pack and Count)
- Wall to Wall stock count in FMCG Industries
- Bulk picking / Long-haul picking advantageous
- Export cargo (pick and pack) advantageous

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- National Senior certificate (Matric ) Grade 12, none negotiable
- Mathematics passed (Grade 12)
- Post Matric qualifications in warehousing / inventory / supply chain advantageous
