Procurement and Logistics Officer

Our Sourcing team partner with the business to ensure efficient acquisition of goods and services that enables the commercialization of our medicines, vaccines and Animal Health products. We collaborate internationally and are grouped into center-led categories and regional operating teams.

Position Overview - Basic Functions & Responsibility_**

Executes purchasing activities for Direct and Indirect packaging components, materials and supplies required by our Manufacturing Division's operations

Performs logistics activities for inbound shipments

Responsible for reviewing, updating and compiling standard operating procedures (SOP’s)

**_
Primary Activities_**

**Purchasing**:
Work closely with our Manufacturing Division's stakeholders to determine operational procurement needs, delivery and quality requirements to optimize warehouse and packaging operations

Approve purchase orders, track delivery schedules, expedite orders were needed, to meet the production plan requirements

Compile and maintain purchase specifications for new artwork requirements or updates/ changes as and when required

Monitor supplier performance through monthly supplier meetings and maintain supplier relationships

Compile analysis for pricing proposals and maintain updated price lists in ERP system

Assist in contract terms and conditions negotiation process

Follow up and resolve invoice queries to prevent risk of on hold status to supplier accounts

Weekly and monthly metric reporting

**Logistics**:
Obtain required documentation, compile customs clearance form for submission to clearing agent

Daily tracking of inbound shipments and liaise with key internal stakeholders and address queries raised

Maintain record keeping and filing of inbound shipments

Liaise with internal stakeholders of any risks identified

Monthly review meetings with freight forwarders

**Compliance**:
Compile or update standard operating procedures to ensure compliance with internal or external requirements

Initiate and complete investigations for quality notifications on the ERP system for all procurement and logistics non-compliance issues identified

Report all supplier and GMP components/material non-conformances on our Manufacturing Division's quality system (TRACELINK) within stipulated timelines

Were required arrange with suppliers for onsite inspection or go-see relating to complaints/defects or issues identified for packaging components

QSIP chapter/topic owner or support to the topic owner

Participate or support all audits (quality, supplier or safety)

Liaise with internal and external customers cultivating positive working relationships

Perform other related duties as assigned by management from time to time

Responsible for reporting adverse experiences or events (AEs), adverse device events (ADEs) ,product quality complaints (PQCs) and other reportable information, customer feedback (CF),alleged counterfeiting, diversion and tampering (CDT) that you become aware of to the Designated Point of Contact (DPOC)

**Qualification/Skills**

Degree/Diploma or CIPS qualification is required

Good communication skills - written and verbal

Strong planning, organising and analytical skills

People management skills

**Required experience**:
Minimum of 5 years working experience in a procurement/supply chain and logistics environment within the Pharmaceutical industry

Experience in SAP system is required
