Mission: Manage various day to day operations in such a manner that customer satisfaction, maintains a good company image, high staff morale and budgeted profit margins are achieved.

Main responsibilities include but not limited to:

- To ensure at all times that Company and Statutory regulations of the Occupational Health & Safety Act are adhered to.
- To ensure that the unit is operating to the agreed catering and budgetary standards.
- To ensure that the unit administration is completed accurately and handed in as per set deadlines.
- Efficient and effective utilisation of staff.
- To ensure that staff is correctly and smartly dressed at all times, stressing the importance of maintaining a good company image.
- To ensure that staff are aware of and are satisfying the customer’s catering needs.
- To ensure that personnel files are up to date and contain all items required by company and statutory procedures and regulations.
- To hold regular performance appraisals with all staff and Managers and Assistant Managers reporting to you, identify areas for development and training needs.
- To take all the necessary steps to ensure maximum security of all areas and stock under Sodexo’s control.
- To report and take action where appropriate, on any complaints, accidents, theft, loss, damage, fire or unfit food.
- To supervise weekly stocktaking.
- To manage the unit and assume control and administer the affairs of the unit in the absence of the catering manage.
- Matric grade 12
- National Diploma in Foodservice Management or similar Qualification
- A minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in a managerial
- Good communication ability
- Well-organized and problem-solving skills
- People management Skills and Decision making skills
- Attention to detail

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Johannesburg, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
