At KCS the Director of DevOps leads the DevOps department, advancing our existing setup by maturing our DevOps practices and establishing a new DevSecOps team. This role requires enhancing our approach to automated deployment, ensuring that it is more streamlined, efficient, and secure. Leadership will drive the integration of security practices into our development and operations processes from the outset, fostering a culture where security and operational excellence coexist seamlessly.

The Director of DevOps will champion the automation of deployment processes, aiming for continuous improvement and innovation in how we build, test, and deploy software.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Lead the development and maturation of the DevOps team, establishing best practices for continuous integration and delivery to enhance development cycles and product quality.
- Initiate and oversee the establishment of a DevSecOps team, integrating security practices into the DevOps workflows to ensure end-to-end security in product development.
- Drive the automation of deployment processes, enhancing operational efficiency and reducing time-to-market for software releases through sophisticated CI/CD pipelines.
- Ensure the scalability and reliability of infrastructure, leveraging cloud services and modern infrastructure management practices for high availability and performance.
- Promote a culture of collaboration between development, operations, and security teams to foster innovation and efficiency, breaking down silos and enhancing team integration.
- Implement monitoring and logging practices to proactively manage system performance and security, enabling swift identification and resolution of issues.
- Facilitate the adoption of infrastructure as code (IaC) practices to automate and manage infrastructure provisioning, ensuring consistency and speed in environment setups.
- Stay updated with the latest DevOps and DevSecOps trends and technologies, incorporating them into the team's practices to enhance capabilities and ensure the organisation stays at the forefront of technological advancements.

**Key Requirements**:

- DevOps Expertise: Deep understanding of DevOps principles and practices, with experience in leading DevOps teams.
- Security Focus: Knowledge of security best practices and the ability to integrate them into DevOps processes (DevSecOps).
- Automation Skills: Strong capabilities in automating deployment processes and implementing continuous integration and delivery pipelines.
- Cloud Infrastructure: Proficiency in managing cloud services and infrastructure, with an emphasis on scalability and reliability.
- Collaboration & Integration: A collaborative mindset that fosters a culture of innovation and efficiency between development, operations, and security teams.
- Monitoring & System Management: Experience in implementing monitoring and logging practices for proactive system management.
- Continuous Learning: Commitment to staying updated with the latest trends and technologies in DevOps and DevSecOps.
