Financial Controller

Our client is a global commodities warehousing and logistics business.
**MAIN PURPOSE**
Reporting directly to the Group’s CFO, this role will act as business partner and trusted advisor to Senior Management with the principal objective of producing accurate, meaningful and timely information for use in decision-making.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Ensuring accurate and timely preparation of financial and management reports to senior management.
- Work closely with local finance teams of entities across the group, understand their daily operations, and support their reporting processes.
- Take ownership and initiative to review, enhance, streamline and monitor finance workflows, internal controls and processes to improve efficiency and safeguard the assets of the Group.
- Prepare monthly and annual group consolidated results in accordance with IFRS reporting standards.
- Prepare Group budget/forecast on a yearly and quarterly basis, as well as ad-hoc when necessary.
- As a business finance partner, play an active role to contribute to the strategic planning of the business and provide financial insights and advice to business function teams and Senior Management.
- Proactively develop a good domain knowledge of the market and operations of all group entities.
- Liaison with external professionals on audit, tax, secretarial and other issues to ensure statutory and regulatory compliance for the Group.
- Ensure compliance to Group Policies.

- Excellent team player, energetic, work well under pressure and able to meet deadlines
