**Position**: Manager - Strategic Support & Analytics
**Location**: Mpumalanga

**Purpose**
To provide a high quality strategic, analytics, and shared administrative support service to the cluster/ provincial office to strengthen Municipal Intelligence, communication and Monitoring and Evaluation.

**Qualifications and Experience**
- Relevant Post Graduate Qualification in Public Admin/ Management (Master''s qualification is an advantage).
- At least 5-7 Years'' experience of which at least 4 years in similar role, at similar level
- Sound understanding of Local Government Sector is essential
- Proven track record in business planning, project management, research and analytics, M&E with excellent writing ability and communication skills.
**Working Conditions/Inherent Requirements of the Job**
- The ability to break information down into component parts and identify key issues and arguments - analyse investigations and identify root causes of problems. Identifies the causes of problems and proposes realistic and practical solutions
- Seeks out and gathers information necessary to achieve objectives, using a variety of approaches and range of sources
**Core knowledge Specialised knowledge**
- Understanding of The South African Local Government environment
- Working knowledge of all relevant legislation (i.e., legislation applicable to Local Government, Public Service Sector, Finance, Human Resources)
- Working knowledge of the principles underpinning all the disciplines reporting into the Chief Officer/ Portfolio Head of Provincial Director of Operations (PDO)
- Understanding of project management principles
- Understanding of business planning, implementation & M&E principles.
- Understanding of budget planning and
- Stakeholder Management and Influencing skills control principles.
