Reporting to the Logistics Manager, the Supply Chain Planner is responsible for the ownership of administration as well as stock procurement and will work with sales/service staff, customers as well as suppliers. This role is responsible for continuing to improve processes and works collaboratively with the Sales and Service teams to maximize the effectiveness of our overall service sales channels and deliver goals and objectives. This position is part of the Supply Chain & Logistics department requires you be be onsite at our Johannesburg office.

**The essential requirements of the job include**:

- Procurement of stock from local and international suppliers and handling returns
- Perform picking duties with accuracy and using first-in-first-out/ expiry method of picking
- Verifying the accuracy of quantity and quality of all incoming stock
- Plan both short
- and long-term to align supply and demand to support inventory needs
- Set preferred stock levels and prevent excess inventory
- Prepare detailed reports relating to MRP, back orders and schedules
- Manage and control inventory within warehouse and perform warehouse duties, such as: pick customer orders, QC-check outbound orders for accuracy, manual handling (up to 12kg)

**Qualifications**:

- A minimum of 3 years office administration experience. Working knowledge of general office procedures and processes
- Supply Chain Management and Demand Planning experience
- Proficient in Excel. Experience with Oracle is a plus.
