**Key responsibilities will include**:

- Ensure low cost of production of Utilities and Service Department with specific focus on energy, and Utility costs
- Ensure compliance to all legislation (OSHACT, LRA (1995), BCEA, Environmental legislation, ISO 9001)
- Effectively managing and leading a team of diverse employees; ensuring competence, adherence to company values, relevant policies and procedures.
- Facilitating improvement projects relating to Utilities processes and provides suitable technical advice to teams and conducting investigations and promptly rectifies problems and deviations
- Managing systems data integrity, monthly budget and daily costs for the section, availability and utilisation of consumables, and cost saving projects
- Proactively manage the reliability and efficiency of the Utilities and Service Department: water and effluent treatment, Boilers, Compressors and able piping reticulation, vehicles, high tension reticulation and buildings
- Initiate and drive the Sustainability Projects for the Company
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
- 12 - 14 years’ experience as an Engineer
- 10 years’ experience in people management
- Extensive knowledge in OSHACT, LRA (1995), BCEA, Environmental legislation
- Experience in setting and managing teams’ key performance indicators
- Experience in managing budgets (personnel and operational budgets)
- Ability to coach and lead professional, skilled and resourceful teams
