**Job purpose**

The QA Competency Lead will be responsible for alignment of the Testing function at Glacier across 5 agile development teams and will be responsible for managing central QA functions and providing mentorship across teams.

**Key outcomes**
- The following functions and outcomes will be expected from the QA Competency Lead.
- Governance of testing tools and processes
- Maintaining testing standards across delivery teams
- Research and innovation around manual and automated testing
- Ensuring data integrity is maintained in non-production environments
- Ensure penetration and performance testing gets scheduled and executed across systems and the management of corrective actions.
- Coaching and mentoring of test leads and test analysts across the division
- Ensuring that UAT and integration testing gets managed and co-ordinated for software release
- Managing the tools required for data transformation and obfuscation of data between environments
- Management of people - Automation and Device testers will report into this role
- Providing feedback to Management regarding own competency area
- Participating in project and release planning
- Contributing to the IT delivery management leadership team

**Qualifications and experience**
- Relevant formal qualification
- 5+ years’ experience in a software QA testing environment
- 3 - 5 years’ experience in the Investment industry
- Solid technical exposure understanding of Software testing - Both manual and automation
- Exposure to SCRUM and Agile methodologies advantageous

**NB Travelling - first 2 years will involve going to cape town on a quarterly basis paid by client**

**This is a 3 years contract**

**Experience**:

- software QA testing environment: 5 years (preferred)
