**Office Administrator Bookkeeper Job Description - contract role with potential to become permanent**

**Job Purpose**

The main purpose of this role is to handle administrative and bookkeeping functions for two companies within this group. You will be required to work independently and take responsibility for handling these duties efficiently and effectively.

**Job Duties**
- Perform daily accounting tasks
- Generate quotes
- Send out invoices
- Capture financial transactions
- Capture records of payments and adjustments
- Process and file work-related expenses
- Correlate invoices to projects
- Verify statements
- Complete reconciliations
- Act as the initial point of contact between the company, clients and contactors
- Answer phone calls and take messages
- Manage the MDs diary, and schedule meetings, appointments, and task deadlines
- Organise and book travel arrangements such as aeroplane tickets, accommodation, and transportation
- Proofread, edit, and polish important documentation on behalf of the MD
- Prepare presentations in Powerpoint
- Prepare documentation for meetings
- Take dictation and minutes for the MD
- Organise and update the filing system
- File account and budget-related documentation
- Monitor the availability of office supplies, and recommend the ordering of more materials when the supply is running low
- Obtain quotes and price lists from office and stationery suppliers
- Complete the administrative tasks for various building projects
- Place orders for building materials and supplies
- Follow up on orders to ensure that the supplies are delivered timeously
- Complete any compliance and regulatory documentation for building projects
- Any other reasonable ad hoc tasks that are required

**Qualifications**
- A National Diploma in Office Management, or an Undergraduate Degree in Business Management, Business Administration, Marketing etc
- Alternatively, a Bookkeeping Diploma or similar
- Computer Literacy Courses
- Grade 12 with strong mathematics marks

**Experience**
- On-the-job training can be provided
- 6 months to one years’ experience in an office, administrative or bookkeeping role

**Skills and Knowledge**
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office and related software
- Strong Excel, Word and Powerpoint skills

**Job Types**: Full-time, Temp to perm

**Salary**: R12,000.00 - R15,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Centurion, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:
