Operations Manager

**Key Responsibilities**:
- Finance function relating to projects ie - developing and managing cash flow for all projects and liaising/planning with Finance Team & Resource allocation
- Bird’s eye view and management of Clientspipeline as well as individual OpCos
- Pipeline of all jobs/pitches and effective management of allocated teams as well as highlighting/flagging any clashes/risks to HODs - Oversight and understanding of all projects including project plans, budgets, and risks to projects
- Liaising closely with all HODs to ensure all jobs are in the system and resources effectively from a group perspective (whether individual OpCos jobs or not)
- Risk management relating to the office environment e.g. public liability as well as project related (on site at events)
- Collaboration with all OpCos and teams is critical and ensuring a cohesive environment is provided for everyone
- Project Management Office and Operations Management
- Assisting teams with traffic management, workflow and capacity planning
- Capacity planning and management including for freelancers, contractors, and 3rd parties
- Process standardisation and optimisation across business units
- Review of quotes, proposals, and SOW's relating to projects and operational requirements for the business
- Overseeing all supplier contracts/negotiations/pricing/BEE compliance
Transactional HR function (day to day administrative functions) including but not limited to. This can be outsourced but still accountable to the Operations Manager for delivery.
- Preparing workplace policies
- Occupational Health and Safety management
- Compensation and payroll
- Benefits & leave administration
- Employee lifecycle
- recruitment, on boarding, development & training, off boarding
- Contract management with clients, employees and suppliers
Compliance & Reporting. This can be outsourced but still accountable to the Operations Manager for delivery.
- Project specific Finance statutory reporting
- HR compliance management
- SDL, COIDA, UIF etc.
- Monthly reporting on HR, Projects, Risk to present to EXCO
**Essential qualification/skills required**:
- Relevant qualification in business, finance, or management
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior operational role
- In depth knowledge and experience managing diverse business functions
- Outstanding people & leadership skills
- Strong communication and negotiating skills
- High degree of self-organisation
- High level of administration skill
- Proven ability to multi-task
- Experienced user on MS office suite and fully computer literate
**Advantageous qualification/skills required**:
- Industry Experience
- Project Management (PMO) experience
- Financial Management Experience and/or relevant qualification (i.e., Financial Reporting or Management Accounting)
- HR Management Experience
