Generator Passive Technician

**ROLE PURPOSE**
The Generator Passive Technician will involve the towing. deploying, refuelling, and recovering of mobile units. Actual and potential generator nonconformities are dealt with and that corrective and preventative actions are taken to report to the upper management
**MAIN OUTPUTS**
- The Generator Field Technician’s role will involve the Towing, Deployment, Refuelling and Recovery of Mobile Generator Units.
- Refuelling of Static Generators.
- Performing basic Power checks and facilitate manual changeover between Eskom and Generator supply.
- Maintaining the general condition and cleanliness of Generators, Bowsers, and all Company Assets.
- Perform Quality measures and Audits.
- Oversee and identify the possible risks that may affect H&S, workflow, quality, performance, etc., and must report all risks identified on time in the proper means of communication to urgency.
- Plan generator repairs.
- Will be expected to travel and perform tasks in different regions from time to time.
- Weekly generator Inspections on Site

**QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS / KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / EXPERIENCE**

The Applicant must meet the following requirements:

- Matric
- Mechanical Trade Test (beneficial but not required)
- 1 Years’ experience in Telecommunications on GSM Sites
- Knowledge of generator maintenance and operation in the service management industry
- Knowledge and/or experience in the generator dispatching and deploying industry
- Prism & Gentrack Systems
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to cope under pressure
- SAP Knowledge
- MS Office Packages
