Senior Product Manager- Fintech

As our **Senior FinTech (Payments) Product Manager**, you'll craft the product strategy of Bash's Fintech (Payments) initiatives and collaborate cross functionally to build products that deliver customer value.

**WHAT YOU'LL DO**:

- Work with various teams to deliver experiences that focus on helping customers
- Use data to define and prioritise the most high impact initiatives for the teams to work on within the Fintech (Payments) ecosystem
- Understand both the online and offline journeys of our customers to ensure the best possible payments products are delivered across platforms and channels
- Segment different customer profiles and build products accordingly - from the retail customer to the marketplace seller
- Align with and optimise high traffic product roadmaps of other functions while also being comfortable kick-starting new initiatives
- Explore, ideate, validate, and build products that ensure our users have a clear and easy path to purchase of their financial services products and post purchase experience
- Define metrics and track progress against them regularly
- Communicate plans and progress to cross-functional partners and leadership
- Drive the execution and delivery of your team's goals

**WHO YOU ARE**:
**This job is for you is you have**:

- 5+ years of product management experience, with at least some of that experience within the payments space
- An excellent understanding of South Africa's payment ecosystem and role players (banks, PSPs, card schemes, etc)
- Experience using qualitative and quantitative data to make product decisions
- Experience defining product strategies and crafting great new products from inception to launch
- Experience in other digital financial services spaces (lending, insurance and value-added services) or banking environment a plus
- Excellent communicator, both written and oral
- Phenomenal listener
- Skilled at establishing relationships with various business stakeholders, Design, Engineering and other supporting teams
- Ability to cultivate empathy & trust as well as influencing without authoritarianism

**Skills you already have**:

- Experience building core payments solutions working in a fast-paced environment
- Having a keen eye for detail and simplifying complexity
- Enjoy working with a cross-functional team, and have an interest in solving challenges in the fintech space
- Have history of successfully spearheading work of significant innovation and complexity, while developing and leading the strategy
- Be known for delivering high-quality work while keeping your own team productive, fun, and happy
