Sr Mgr QA Testing

**Role
**Core responsibilities will include taking responsibility for the quality of projects delivered out of the center, mentoring and providing leadership for the test community from both technical and human perspectives, ‘assess, review, recommend and implement’ required enhancements in the systems and processes with the buy-in from management and stake holders. The stake holders include the delivery leaders, global test strategy group, best practices teams. The person should be able to tailor the standard framework/patterns and methods to CSG Best Practices and technology. Must be a thought leader in software systems quality control/defect prevention.

Provide robust test strategy and execution for multiple projects within Delivery. Ensure traceability between functional requirements and the final product. Collect testing metrics (defects, planned vs. actual effort, etc.) and report on a periodic basis as per the procedure and a milestone report. Attend Phase / Stage and Acceptance Meetings to review whether the phase / stage entry / exit criteria are met. Lead and manage test related activities (Track Status, Issue and Risk Management, etc.) at the programme level & Communicate to all relevant parties and address concerns/issues raised up by the team. Plan, schedule and conduct audits periodically, Analyze audit findings and trends.Monitor the quality of delivery of testing services to the projects. Should outline and execute test automation across projects for productivity and quality enhancement. Identify process improvement areas and take corrective action. Ensure timely communication of issues and status. Build a collaborative working relationship with development, Test teams. Resolve escalations with Development/Delivery and support functions. Passion for test and improving quality by utilizing new cutting edge testing methods. Conduct research on latest test tools, trends and methodologies and define and implement improvements in test development process and test solutions deployed.

Provide feedback to the Best practices team on areas for process (test and any other) improvement, create/maintain Knowledge Repository. Provide inputs on resource requirement forecast in testing areas. Contribute to giving responses for Request For Proposals. People Leadership / Employee motivation, retention and attrition mgmt. Set objectives for the team and measure performance against the same. Mentor team so that they are completely aware of project process and customer process. Mentor / train project teams on effective implementation of CSG process. Ensuring team builds required domain and functional knowledge. Conduct test specific training as and when required.

Desired Skills & Experience

15-20 years’ experience in SDLC, Testing, at least last 5 years as Manager, leadership position, Centers of Test Excellence/Quality. Experience in testing methodologies, SDLC including water fall & Agile, test automation, Tools. Expertise in the planning, design, execution and management & reporting of tests - using appropriate testing tools and techniques - to ensure that CSG conform to agreed standards, to meet clients' business goals. Experience in Telecom domain, specifically in OSS/BSS areas and standards such as TmForum/3GPP will be an added advantage. Bachelor Degree in Engg / MBA / MCA/ Post graduation in IT/Sciences.
