**purpose**:

- To protect the organisation by pro-actively monitoring for cyber security events. This includes the identification, analysis, triage and response.**experience and qualifications**:

- Minimum Qualification - Grade 12 and CompTIA S+
- Preferred Qualification - CITA Certification (Certified Threat Intelligence Analyst)
- Experience - Minimum 1-year experience in TCP traffic analysis, Cyber Security and MS productivity packages (MS Excel and Word)**additional requirements**:
**responsibilities**:

- Review and analyse all alerts and respond according to prescribed processes. Create incidents in our change management system for other teams to take remediation actions when required.
- Prevent wastage, and on an ongoing basis identify process improvements in order to contain and reduce costs
- Continuously assess own performance, seek timely and clear feedback and request training where appropriate
- Run, Analyse and Interpret reports on different platforms
- Update the alert/case information with closure information (All fields that are required to be updated when the alert/case is closed)
- Provide mitigation recommendations for each identified security incident where applicable
