Superintendent 2 Dbf

**Up to $80k - Senior Superintendent DBF for a leading mining company focussed on supplying critical resources to help with the smooth transition to a renewable future.**

As Superintendent 2 you will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the Direct to Blister Furnace (DBF) Smelter Plant and the production of blister copper. This includes implementing strategies, tracking machine performance, and allocating resources to achieve daily production goals.

The role involves the development, implementation, and oversight of the DBF production plant, ensuring it aligns with both company strategy and DRC legislation. Key responsibilities include ensuring international and local compliance, engaging with DRC authorities to understand requirements, and assisting in developing plant management policies. The position requires supervision and involvement in the design, construction, and commissioning phases of the DBF plant, ensuring technological optimization, equipment selection, and staffing needs. Ensuring comprehensive employee training, achieving project milestones, and maintaining 6 Sigma management standards are also vital. The role is further responsible for ensuring the systematic operation of the DBF Plant by creating operational plans, processes, and metrics, maintaining essential systems, securing necessary resources, liaising with the Quality Assurance department, and producing Blister Copper for delivery.

**Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities**:

- 8 Years + of Copper Smelting experience.
- 5 Years + of Managerial experience.
- Fluent in Mandarin, Swahili, or French.
- Knowledge of Metallurgy
- Excellent problem-solving and high analytical skills.
- Excellent written and oral skills.
