**Job Purpose**:

**Minimum Qualification Requirements**:
Honours in Information Systems/ Computer Science

**Alternatively**:
Honours degree with advanced database design or a similarly related field to the third-year level.

**Minimum Work Experience Required for Cloud Development lecturer**:

- Lecturing experience in programming/database.
- Familiar with use of T-SQL and SQL Server Management Studio.
- Basic knowledge of CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of the following concepts:

- Designing scalable and efficient cloud solutions.
- Self-healing and redundancy
- Coordination and Scalability
- Partitioning and operations
- Analysing business case scenarios with the purpose of presenting the most appropriate cloud service/solution.
- Hosting Models In the cloud.
- Resilience
- Testing
- Monitoring and diagnostics
- Evaluating cloud security.
- Cloud Platforms i.e., Microsoft Azure, Amazon web services
- NoSQL database technologies i.e., MongoDB, Google Firebase
- Application program interfaces
- Git and GitHub

**Working Conditions**:

- Availability to lecture Part-time during the week, between 8am - 5pm on campus.
- Provide a student support function through consultations, where necessary.
- Grade all assessments for assigned classes.
- Please note that this is an Independent Contractor role.
