**What are we looking for?**

We are seeking for an ambitious and talented **Laboratory Analyst In-Service Trainee**. This is a fixed term 12-month contract. The intern will be expected to assist the Laboratory Supervisor with laboratory tasks, while gaining practical experience, and learning analytical techniques.

**The key responsibilities**:

- Analyse all raw materials and finished products on receipt, as per relevant test methods.
- Perform analysis using all laboratory instruments such as moisture analyser, HPLC, laboratory oven etc.
- Assist with updating of laboratory test methods and work instructions.
- Ensure all chemicals in the laboratory are not expired and the chemical register is kept up to date.
- Perform calibrations and/or verifications of equipment as per schedule.
- Ensure compliance to all Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality requirements.
- Assist lab supervisor with monthly quality indicator monitoring and reporting.
- Perform internal task as per internal training and other ad hoc duties.

**Mandatory task**:

- Follow all rules, SOP's and regulations of the company including the OHS Act.
- Ensure correct PPE is always worn.
- Always practise good housekeeping principles.
- Report any incidents/accidents and non-conformances to the Lab Supervisor immediately.

**Must-Have**:

- Grade 12 (Matric).
- Computer literate.
- Understand all hazards associated with the job.
- Must meet the physical requirements of the job.
