Regional Product Manager

At KCS the primary role of the **Regional Product Manager** is to take ownership of a product strategy on a regional level. Together with the product management team, they define and execute strategic initiatives for the products within their remit.
They are essentially responsible for getting the “_right stuff done_” by setting clear priorities and development goals which deliver maximum value to the business and customers. You will be close to the market, understand local customer needs, know the local competitor landscape and understand the dynamics between customer needs and longer-term product objectives.
Along with many other exciting roles, you will be expected to champion the following tasks:
**Main Duties and Responsibilities**
- Be the go-to-contact for internal and external customers on local product strategy, roadmap priorities, delivery progress and product objectives.
- Manages internal and external customer expectations by working closely with PSG, Sales and Product Development teams to plan and execute the right priorities at the right time.
- Pro-actively communicates goals to stakeholders and manage expectations of delivery. Escalate large scale trade-offs and necessary decision points as needed.
- Works closely with Product Managers from other regions, the Global Product Manager and Product Owners to groom the backlog, always making sure that items set as high priority items are properly analysed, decomposed and flagged for development.
- Owns the prioritised roadmap of decomposed Epics in Aha, ensuring that Features and Epics are properly defined, includes orders and price points in the case of customer requirements, or includes an attached business case for product level requirements.
- Manages, refines and prioritises the product backlog to ensure it is in a healthy state for release planning.
- Supports the local Managing Directors, Sales and Professional Services teams to elicit market and customer requirements, translating them into features and prioritising importance so that it can be allocated to the Solution Analyst for further analysis.
- Elicit high level customer and stakeholder problem and value statements and work with Development Leads to determine high level estimates (ROM) which can be quoted to customers.
- Works closely with the Project Management team and PSG to align roadmap deliverables with Project Milestones by staying on top of projects in flight and coordinating product delivery priorities.
- Manages and tracks the lean business case process in Aha, by defining or reviewing regional business cases for product enhancements, motivating product enhancements and continuously driving product value throughout the product.
- Define and monitor key metrics to measure success throughout the product and implement mechanisms to drive data-driven decisions.
- Monitors and tracks progress of the delivery against the backlog on a daily basis by using Aha, JIRA and PowerBI reports and dashboards as tracking tools.
- Actively seeks out and collaborate with other R&D leaders across the KCS group to drive resource efficiency and discover any cross-pollination opportunities for maximum value with mínimal cost.
- Clearly defines and communicates product vision and objectives for and ensure clear strategic direction and focus for the successful delivery of key initiatives.
- Supports Product Owners with any release delivery risk (value, quality or timescales) and effectively manage stakeholder expectations accordingly.
- Works closely with the rest of the Product Team to ensure that best practices and processes for delivering high value and high-quality product are implemented.
- Concludes a final review of the items included in a release before the release goes out to customers.
- Defines and reviews any release or product documentation which goes out to local customers, sales and marketing before it is published to ensure it accurately articulates product value and benefits
**Experience & Knowledge**:
- Experienced in working with different senior level business, partner and customer stakeholders to solicit what they are trying to achieve and the commercial benefits any solution will bring to all parties
- Experienced in creating, maintaining and prioritising product backlogs using product management tools (e.g. Aha and JIRA)
- Experienced in working within an Agile delivery framework for business management software development companies (e.g. Scrum or Kanban)
- Experienced in leading, developing and coaching a team to build a collaborative self-organised culture and team spirit
- Working knowledge of overall software development life cycle processes and best practices from product strategy to deployment of software.
- Working knowledge of the Kerridge Commercial Services markets/customers and use cases
- Experience in product development, product management, product marketing, professional services, pre-sales or other product related roles within KCS or other ERP Softwar
