As a Cloud Operations Architect you will oversee the architectural design and implementation of cloud solutions with a primary focus on migrating to Microsoft Azure as well as optimizing existing services. This role will guide the cloud strategy, ensuring that all systems are optimized for cost, performance, and security.

Key responsibilities
- Collaborate with Application Development and Solutions Architects to ensure cloud-first design principles are integrated into new and existing projects and products
- Drive cloud modernization efforts by evaluating and implementing new technologies and practices
- Optimize cloud architectures for cost-efficiency, performance, and security
- Oversee the migration of on-premises systems to Azure, ensuring mínimal disruption and alignment with business goals
- Work closely with DevOps and SRE teams to ensure seamless integration of infrastructure as code, CI/CD pipelines, and performance monitoring
- Provide guidance on cloud governance practices, including cost management and interdepartmental invoicing
- Develop and maintain documentation of cloud architectures, best practices, and technology standards
- Stay updated on emerging cloud technologies and assess their applicability to the organization's needs
- Act as a point of escalation for complex cloud infrastructure architecture issues and provide technical leadership across projects

Essential requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 8+ years of experience in cloud architecture, with a focus on Azure
- Proven experience in leading cloud migration projects, particularly to Azure

Desired skills and competencies
- Strong understanding of cloud security principles, cost management, and performance optimization
- Experience working in a cloud services environment, with knowledge of DevOps, SRE, and IT Ops practices
- Expertise in hybrid cloud solutions and integration of on-premises and cloud systems
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across teams and shaping stakeholders perspectives (in English)
- Relevant certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, or similar
