History Teacher

**TO QUALIFY TO JOIN OUR SCHOOL TEAM AS A HISTORY TEACHER YOU WOULD**:

- Have a minimum of 5 years' experience teaching History (Grades 8 to 12) in a similar school environment to St John's D.S.G., preferably with IEB experience and conversant in IEB SAGS and CAPS.
- Have a Bachelor of Education, or a similar 4-year Senior / FET qualification in History, with PGCE
- Have extra-mural coaching or managing experience (advantageous)
- Be willing to do support classes after school where required.
- Be warm, engaging, resilient, honest, genuine, empathetic and kind.
- Have excellent teamwork, communication and collaboration skills.
- Have strong values that align to the Christian ethos of the school.
- Have a high level of computer competency and be willing to learn new systems.
- Have a clear criminal clearance certificate.
- Be SACE registered.
