Handyman

**Key Responsibilities Include but are not limited to**:

- Basic Carpentry knowledge e.g. Cut and hang doors, frames, windows and window frames.
- Basic Waterproofing: Valleys, roofs, gutters, retaining walls and showers.
- Basic Painting: Interior and exterior.
- Basic Tiling: Floors and walls.
- Basic Paving.
- Basic Flooring work: foundation, laying carpet, polishing marley tiles.
- Basic Installation, inspections, diagnosing faults, testing, replacement, repair and maintenance of building, building fixtures and fittings.
- Site management.
- Basic ability to inspect structures to assess material and equipment need, to establish the sequence of pipe installations and to plan installation around obstructions such as electrical wiring.
- Keep records of assignments and produce reports.
- Basic knowledge of maths.
- Repair and maintain plumbing.
- Install underground storm, sanitary and water piping systems and extend piping to connect fixtures and plumbing to these systems.
- Installation of gutters.
- Willing to travel.
- Must be willing to be trained.

**Qualifications, Skills & Abilities**:

- Must have Grade 9 or matric.
- Minimum 1 year work experience.
- Valid ID/ Drivers license.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- **FAST LEARNER.**:

- Detail-orientated.
- Possessing manual dexterity and physical demands e.g. accessing confined spaces, hand and arm strength.
- Ability to listen to others & communicate effectively.
- Ability to work in a professional manner.
- Good writing skills.
- Reliable.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Flexible & adaptable.
- Ability to solve problems and use initiative when required.
- Ability to work well independently without supervision.
- Broad-minded.

Salary to increase after 3 months probationary period.

Must reside within the Amanzimtoti / Durban region.

**Salary**: From R4,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Amanzimtoti, KwaZulu-Natal 4126: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)
