Maintenance Manager

**Key responsibilities (but not limited to)**:
**Maintenance Management**
−Oversee all installation, repair and maintenance operations of the company’s facility and fixed assets.
−Implementing maintenance procedures and standard to reduce risk of failure from the operating equipment and machinery.
−Drafting and implementing strategic asset management plan.
−Negotiate and liaise maintenance contractors and vendors to ensure reasonable costs for all mechanical repairs and spare purchases.
−Responsible for developing and managing maintenance budget incl. CAPEX projects; incl. management of maintenance costs and projects.
−Focused on continuous improvement, leading improvement projects and other projects.
−Follow company policies regarding all plant maintenance activities and procurement.
−Troubleshoot and repair mechanical components, power distribution systems and production machinery when faulty.
−Monitor all critical plant equipment and prepare efficient and effective preventative maintenance schedules and ensure implementation.
−Compile a routine equipment check list and conduct regular inspections.
−Improve machine productivity yields and time efficiencies through preventative, scheduled maintenance and technology improvements.
−Document and maintain all equipment SOP’s and maintenance procedures and history.
−Manage repairs and maintenance activities in the plant within budgeted costs to achieve consistent reduction in unplanned downtime.
−Partner with Production Manager to achieve the projected volumes by regulating the plant downtime and supporting process improvements through continuous technology upgrades.
−Provide support to the production process through technical inputs on equipment installation, commissioning and maintenance.
−Conduct inhouse training as required on basic maintenance issues.
**Minimum Requirements**:
−National Diploma (Technical Qualification) / Degree
−6-years’ experience in a similar work environment as a Maintenance Manager
−Computer literate (Ms Excel skills, exposure to or experience with an ERP system will be an advantage).
−Previous experience in the food manufacturing industry will be a distinct advantage. Solid project management experience is critical.
−Knowledge on preventative maintenance programs, job card systems, safety risk management, OHS Act, advanced electrical and mechanical engineering knowledge.
−Good interpersonal and communication skills, ability to cultivate strong relationships, strategic thinking, high energy, self-motivated.
− Ability to coordinate, prioritise, plan, and follow up; ability to multi-task; working under pressure.
− Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
− Excellent organizational and time management skills.
− Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
−Valid driver’s license and own transport.
