Senior Bookkeeper/office Administrator

A South African manufacturer in the field of Engineering & equipment manufacture supplying the mining & industrial sectors needs the full-time services of an experienced Senior Bookkeeper / Office Administrator to join their team in Roodepoort on the West Rand of a Johannesburg on long term renewable contract basis (6-12 months)
Duties & Responsibilities Basic Admin
Reception (Telephone & front-door)
Liaising with customers and suppliers o Basic Filing Debtors
Sales / Quotations
Process Sales Orders
Invoicing o Month-end Statements
Payment Collections
Arrange Transport
Stock allocation Creditors
Purchase & Indent Orders
Expediting o Organise & track Indent shipping
Capture Supplier & Indent Invoices
Reconciliation of Supplier Accounts/Statements
Stock Control Financial
VIP Payroll
PAYE submissions
VAT submissions
MIBFA contribution submissions
Prepare & load month end creditor payments
Load Forex payments
Load COD payments as needed
Recons - business account, petty cash & credit cards
BEE & Skills development management
Prepare reports & costings
Month-end and ad hoc journals
Process Compensation for occupational injuries claims
Process Insurance claims
Company vehicle license renewals
Manage staff loans & leave
Year-end Inventory stock take adjustments
5+ years’ experience Must be meticulous and detail orientated Advanced knowledge of Sage Pastel, Microsoft office, VIP payroll software knowledge essential Advanced knowledge of Debtors & Creditor processing and handling
Excellent interpersonal, organisational, and administrative skills Self-motivated, driven, and be able to work under pressure and without supervision.
Must have own reliable transport & valid driver's license
English and Afrikaans fluency required
Package & Remuneration - Market related - negotiable dependant on qualifications and experience
**Job Types**: Full-time, Temporary
Contract length: 6 - 12 months
**Salary**: R20,000.00 - R22,000.00 per month
