Cyber Security Analyst

Service Desk Engineers provide IT end-user support on variouscomponents of an IT environment, including but not limited to, hardwaresupport, software support and network support. Being the first point of contactfor clients, you are expected to be professional, helpful, and to provideassistance with a sense of urgency, regardless of the level of incident. Youwill aim to exceed the clients expectations in dealing with any incidents or servicerequests and you will continuously better yourself through training andresearch to ensure that you are able to deliver an unrivalled experience forthe clients end-users.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform patch management of endpoints and servers to ensure the highest level of security on all critical systems.
- Assist with the maintenance of all security tools and technology.
- Assist with the implementation of new security systems/platforms as per the Cyber Security Roadmap.
- Review, understand, and correlate data from multiple sources, which is not limited to user authentication events, windows security event logs, intrusion detection alerts, and firewall events.
- Respond to security incidents, including investigation and remediation.
- Assist with creating security awareness training and phishing campaigns and maintaining information security policies and procedures.
- Maintain and resolve all detected vulnerabilities.
- Excellent technical knowledge of the platform and network infrastructure.
- Knowledge and understanding of monitoring tools and systems.
- Possess the ability and demonstrated experience to proactively monitor and manage Networks and Systems.
Experienced in standard concepts, practices, and procedures relating to internal IP networks, using WAN and LAN technology. Includes a solid working knowledge of IP networking and the basic services running on IP networks such as DNS, DHCP and IP subnetting, and QOS.
- Experience configuring and troubleshooting Cisco, HP, and Dell switches.
- Experience configuring and troubleshooting firewalls such as FortiGate.
- Experience with Microsoft Active Directory network environments and their security.
Connectivity Alerts monitoring, reacting and resolving (support toward service restoration)
- Server EDR Alerts resolving security risks and issues.
- Cyber security Alerts resolving vulnerabilities.
- Monitoring of other general services and alerts, if required resolving by means of threshold change, remedial work or removal.
