Estimator

**PACKAGING WORLD** has a vacancy for an **ESTIMATOR**.

This position falls within the costing division of the Commercial department.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- **Estimates**
- Use Price request from sales and market knowledge to create estimates
- Submit estimate to Commercial manager for approval and save on Nas
- Liaising with Procurement to ensure up to date cost of raw material
- Liaising with sales to determine correct customer spec, forecast of sales volume etc. to quote accurately
- Obtain quotes from suppliers.
- Cost drivers/ tenders/ manage outsourced estimates

Daily OA Report, Review selling price, if there is an anomaly - raise to CSR

Daily output for estimations and sharing with management for approval

Yield calculation

Supplier quote requests for outsource work

Liaising with procurement for Raw Materials, Consumables and Ink Price.

Pricing investigation should there be a discrepancy

Liaising with reps and sales manager on price negotiations to win business

Corporate price bids and cost drivers (Lotus, Tiger, RCL, Leonard Dingler, In2Food, Pepsico, Mondelez)

Adhoc projects based on Syspro updates/ costing reviews

Trim cost amortisation

Origination amortisation

**General and Reports**
- Issue and Report on monthly KPI
- Control and Update SOPs relevant to your area if required. Train on all relevant SOP’s for other departments, that impact your role, to gain an understanding of the processes.
- Costing Sheet maintenance

**Qualifications**
- Matric
- 2 years’ experience in FMCG and ESTIMATING
- High level Computer literate
- ERP systems, Syspro or similar system and Microsoft packages
- Bachelors Degree in Finance, Cost and Management accounting or similar
