**Senior Legal Bookkeeper required in Cape Town CBD.**:
A well-established law firm is looking for a Senior Legal Bookkeeper to join their team on a full-time permanent basis for their offices in Cape Town, CBD.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum 5 - 7 years’ experience in a similar position.
- Knowledge of Pastel, LegalSuite and Excel.
- Knowledge of investments.
- Knowledge of the Legal Practice Act is very important.

**Key Performance Areas**:

- Perform all bookkeeping functions.
- Performs all client invoicing functions and other accounts receivable tasks.
- Pay supplier invoices and manage accounts payable.
- Perform all data entry of receipts and client invoices in accounting systems.
- Perform all data entry of receipts and disbursements for the trust account in the accounting systems.
- Reconcile bank statements.
- Prepare Vat report and submit returns timeously.
- Handle payroll, PAYE/SDL/UIF monthly.
- Reconcile the monthly payment to Legal Practice Society. Capture Section 86 Investment interest.
- Provide all required financial reports to the firm owner on a monthly basis.
- Filing.
- Coordinate with the firm’s auditors. some cases, may be responsible for managing a finance team.
- Only open to South African citizens.
