**Day in the Life of a BI Data Analyst (Full-stack)**
- Enhance the web-framework to create micro business services to enable business to integrate datasets and reduce manual document management
- Enable transparency in the unpacking and reconciliation of data sources and and using ORM to structure the data into the data mart
- Dive into reviewing legacy code, optimising and enabling it for better performance, and creating new views and models to enable the integrated data mart. This involves refactoring Python scripts and SQL queries to enhance efficiency and maintainability.
- Work with business stakeholders to identify and document business requirements
- Find innovative ways to automate repetitive tasks to automate the boring stuff, using Python and SQL to develop scripts that streamline processes and free up time for more strategic work.
- Meet and work with people who are excited about making a difference, as your share your ideas and discuss ongoing projects
- Keep your codebase up to date on Git, ensuring version control and collaborate with your team.
- Continuously update your progress on the backlog, prioritizing tasks and communicating your next goals.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to create web-based views that have strategic and material impacts. Use your analytical skills to translate complex data into meaningful insights that drive business decisions.

**Job Purpose**
- To support the automation of processes and process re-engineering initiatives to enhance service delivery
To grow the web-based platform used to manage various business critical processes and enable strategic and operational support in sustaining the data mart and reduce manual data processing and document-based data capturing
To support the ETL processes from MS Excel, SQL, CSV, JSON sources
To ensure that the platform has required tests to enable business efficiencies
To support the maintenance and development of data mart models**Responsibilities**:

- Ensure information is provided correctly to stakeholders by maintaining knowledge sharing knowledge with team.
- Structure data according to compliance standards by adhering to metadata governance procedures according to Nedbank documented standards and formats; and ensuring metadata is continuously up to date.
- Manage final transformed data content by complying to prescribed standards for reviewing and publishing.
- Govern the population of data mart and metadata repository by complying to standards; systems; processes and procedures.
