Analyst: Sustainable Finance Solutions

**Job Purpose**
- This is a front office role within Sustainable Finance Solutions, which is part of the greater Investment Bank. Sustainable Finance Solutions is focused on structuring, arranging, co-ordinating and implementing sustainable finance solutions. The team works collaboratively with sectors and teams across CIB and engages in ESG/sustainability advisory services for clients. Sectors including diversified corporates, mining, property, energy, automative, transport and logistics, healthcare etc.**Responsibilities**:
- Meaningfully contribute to the Sustainable Finance Solutions business
- Contribute to client pitches, responses to requests for proposals, deal flow development and revenue generation, within acceptable risk adjusted return.
- Contribute to Nedbank’s sustainable finance growth in line with overall market growth and returns by supporting Senior Transactors,
- Assist Senior Transactors to implement and close transactions by sharing your professional skills, completing deal assessments, conducting relevant sustainability / ESG analysis,, , structuring the transaction, and presenting well written quality client documentation and commentary
- Monitor market trends by researching and recording market developments, competitor activities and innovation of products and services.
- Perform relevant analysis and assist in reporting requirements
- Assist in preparation of ESG presentations, memos and sustainability information memoranda as relevant
- Contribute to innovation and product development in Sustainable Finance.
- Support Senior Transactors to grow bank wide profitability by attracting and retaining clients and supporting cross-sell to relevant product areas.
- Deliver quality structured sustainable finance solutions to meet requirements of existing and potential customers.
- Manage portfolio risk to maintain profitability and acceptable returns
- Manage risks by ensuring compliance with the relevant credit, investment, risk and compliance policies of the bank.
- Identify and mitigate operational risk by implementing controls.
- Build and sustain trusting internal and external relationships and alliances across functional and organizational boundaries through collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
- Essential Qualifications - NQF Level- Matric / Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate
- Advanced Diplomas/National 1st Degrees
- Preferred Qualification- Studying towards Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).- Preferred Certifications- CA(SA) / Bachelor of Business Science / Bcom (Investment Management) / ESG Certificate- Minimum Experience Level- 0-3 years experience in a financial or related industry**Technical / Professional Knowledge**
