- Rendering psychological therapy services to students, mainly individually but also in groups;
- Developing and presenting workshops and talks that promote a healthy lifestyle amongst students;
- Participating in the Centre's crisis service.

**_ All these services will mainly be rendered via a hybrid model (online as well as face-to-face) at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences on the Tygerberg Campus, but the incumbent will also be required to work with students from other Faculties, and from time to time, on the Stellenbosch Campus as well._**

Job Requirements/Pos Vereistes
- Registration (of at least two years) with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as clinical or counselling psychologist;
- Experience in providing psychotherapeutic services to young adults;
- Excellent communication and language skills in Afrikaans and English;
- Skills in offering therapeutic services via online platforms such as Microsoft Teams;
- Computer skills in the MS-Office environment.
- Registrasie van minstens twee jaar by die Raad vir Gesondheidsberoepe van Suid-Afrika (RGBSA) as kliniese of voorligtingsielkundige;
- Ervaring in terapeutiese dienslewering aan jong volwassenes;
- Uitstekende kommunikasie
- en taalvaardighede in Afrikaans en Engels;
- Vaardigheid in die aanbied van terapeutiese dienste via aanlyn platforms soos Microsoft Teams;
- Rekenaarvaardigheid ten opsigte van die MS Office-omgewing.

Recommendation/Aanbeveling
- Specific experience in the duties as indicated above;
- Experience in multidisciplinary cooperation with medical practitioners and other health professionals;
- Training in short-term psychotherapeutic modalities;
- Training in presenting group therapy;
- Experience in crisis service provision in a psychological context;
- Experience in rendering psychological services within a higher education environment;
- Experience in developing and presenting workshops and lectures on topics related to personal development and self-management;
- Knowledge of HIV/AIDS counselling;
- Competence in an additional African language.
