The successful incumbent will possess the following qualities: - Bookkeeping principles - Knowledge of Xero would be an advantage - Attention to detail - Be proactive and have a positive outlook on life - Willing to go the extra mile - Excellent written and communication skills - Meeting all deadlines - A can-do attitude - Willingness to learn - Excellent telephone manners - Highly numerate - Extremely Meticulous - Fast-paced Environment - need to be able to work under pressure - Can communicate within the team and contribute to the overall success of the team - Adaptable as this is a constantly changing environment They will also possess the following skills and experience: - Min Matric - 5 Years creditors clerk experience - Relevant tertiary qualification will be advantageous Duties will include: - Full creditor’s function - Receive all invoices / credit notes from both trade and sundry creditors - Confirm the validity of the tax invoices / credit notes, ensure that they have been duly approved - Capturing of the sundry tax invoices / credit notes using the correct general ledger codes - Follow up on all queries and keeping the accounts up to date - Accurately prepare monthly reconciliations of creditor account statements against the age analysis A "can do" attitude is key. People person who is assertive and tenacious - a good team player. Someone who can think on their feet. An all-rounder, multitasker who goes above & beyond the call of duty. **Education**: - High School (matric) (preferred) **Experience**: - in a similar position: 5 years (preferred)
