Primary purpose of the job
Manufacture and modify Tools,Jigs and Dies
Key Performance Areas
- Manufacture/machine and modify Tools, Jigs and Dies to supply the internal/external customer with the required production and according to standards.
Knowledge & Skills required
- Have a good understanding of different types of CNC operations (Function).
- Ensure that tools are manufactured/machine within company meet Quality Standards and /or according to relevant works instruction.
- Must be able to write small programmes within the controller, be able to set up jobs on machine independently, able to read and analyse 3D and 2D drawings
- Clear understanding of machine speed and feed.
- Participate actively in departmental team meetings, prioritise work allocated for machining.
- Problem Solving
- Self driven
Minimum Qualifications/ Experience Required
- Grade 12 /N3 and N6 Certificate in Engineering studies / Mechanical Engineering
- Qualified in Trade Certificate Tool,Jigs and Die making
- Minimum 3 years experience in manufacturing environment
- Minimum 3 years Toolroom experience
