Pharmaceutical company is seeking a regulatory pharmacist assistant to join their quality assurance team in a manufacturing environment.

Main duties:

- Ensure legal compliance with the Pharmacy Act (Act no. 53 of 1974, as amended) and the Medicines and Related Substance Control Act (Act 101 of 1965, as amended)
- To ensure that the pharmacy complies with GWP requirements
- Ensure that temperature monitoring is conducted and recorded according to SOPs
- Receiving of stock from manufacturers including management and control of the retention samples
- Perform inspections of finished goods received from manufacturers
- Ensure that rejected stock is reported, quarantined, and handled appropriately and correctly.
- Final check of stock before distribution from the warehouse
- Document control which includes compiling and recording change controls and updating SOPs
- Assist with administrative tasks when required
- Perform housekeeping checks of the warehouse daily

Minimum requirements:

- Must be registered with the South African Pharmacy Council as a **post basic**pharmacist assistant
- Accuracy in checking and compiling documentation
- Knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry will be advantageous
- Basic understanding of Word and Excell
