**Security Supervisor - Security**

**Job Purpose**:
The Security Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the activities of the security team to ensure the safety and security of the organization's personnel, premises, and assets. This role includes supervising security personnel, enforcing security policies, and responding to incidents or emergencies.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Supervise daily operations of the security team to ensure a secure environment.
- Assign duties and schedules to security officers and ensure proper shift coverage.
- Monitor and review CCTV footage, access control systems, and alarm systems.
- Conduct regular patrols and inspections of the premises.
- Ensure security personnel are properly trained and equipped.
- Respond to security breaches, incidents, and emergencies; compile detailed incident reports.
- Liaise with law enforcement and emergency services when necessary.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of security technology and best practices.
- Enforce company policies and procedures relating to access control, visitor management, and emergency preparedness.
- Maintain accurate logs and records of all security activities.
- Conduct regular briefings and debriefings with the team.
- Assist in developing and implementing security policies and procedures.

**Requirements**:

- Grade 12 / Matric Certificate
- PSIRA Certification (Minimum Grade B or A)
- Proven experience (3-5 years) in a security supervisory role
- Knowledge of security operations and safety practices
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Proficient in using security systems (CCTV, access control, etc.)
- Physically fit and able to respond quickly to emergencies
- First Aid or Fire Fighting training (advantageous)
