**Marketing Executive**

**Role Overview**

The Marketing Executive is responsible for the development, planning and execution of the organisation’s marketing strategy with the aim of growing market share and achieving the overall business objectives.

**Responsibilities include but are not limited to**:

- Develop marketing strategic plans aligned to the business strategy and objectives and that build the value proposition of each brand to effectively differentiate our brands in the market.
- Lead, manage and motivate the marketing department to achieve personal and business objectives through building a culture of excellence, accountability and customer-centricity. Elevate marketing and business performance through strengthening marketing skills and capabilities with coaching, training and developing team members.
- Lead the execution of high-quality marketing plans and activities smoothly and within budget.
- Responsible for the entire marketing budget, including developing the budget, allocating funds to campaigns and tracking spend against budget.
- Responsible for the departmental overhead budget and resources.
- Monitoring, analysis and reporting of marketing activities to ensure achievement of target metrics and ROI on marketing spend.
- Manage the relationship with external marketing service providers to build lasting partnerships that deliver value to the business in terms of cost, quality, reliability and effectiveness.
- Build the house brand portfolio by driving brand awareness, building shopper-relevant campaigns, and sharpening the product and price offering.
- Work closely with creative / advertising agencies to develop creative briefs and marketing content and guide the creative direction for all advertising and communications, including print, digital and video assets.
- Produce internal communications and PR content as required.
- Proactively identify retailing, marketing and consumer trends and adapt marketing plans accordingly.
- Drive the growth of the business through relevant innovation plans and be the voice of the customer/shopper to ensure that the customer is at the heart of all we do as a total business.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with the rest of the executive team and work closely with buyers, development and operations to ensure delivery of fully integrated marketing plans.
- As a member of the Executive Leadership Team of the company, contribute to the overall leadership of the organization through business input beyond marketing, driving collaboration and alignment across functions and co-creating a high-performance culture in line with the business values.

**Requirements: Skills, Qualifications and Experience required**
- Degree in Marketing or Communication
- Proven experience (at least 10 years) in brand or marketing management roles
- Ideally have a work background in Retail or FMCG
- Strong all-round leadership and communication skills and preferably having been a member of an executive leadership team
- Passion for developing and coaching people and strong team ethic
- Resilient, tolerant, respectful and inclusive.
- Strong analytical understanding and ability to think critically.
- Self-aware, emotionally mature, pragmatic and action-oriented.
- Willing to drop into the detail
- Affinity to an ambiguous, growth orientated and fast-moving environment.
