Data Modeller

**iqbusiness** is a leading management consulting firm. We are seeking an experienced **Data Modeller** with a strong background in AWS and a proven track record in delivering successful projects to consult to our client in the retail industry.

The Data Modeller will play a crucial role in enhancing our data modelling capabilities and improving our search options. This role requires extensive experience in data modelling and technical systems to ensure that technology solutions are aligned with business goals.

**Key Responsibilities and/or output areas include, but are not limited to**:
**Advanced Requirements Gathering and Analysis**:

- Lead the collection and documentation of business and technical requirements from stakeholders.
- Conduct in-depth feasibility studies, cost-benefit analyses, and risk assessments for proposed solutions.

**Complex Data Model Design and Development**:

- Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications.
- Design and propose data models, including process models, specifications, and architecture, and collaborate with developers on data solutions.

**Implementation and Quality Assurance**:

- Liaise with developers, vendors, and IT teams to ensure data models are accurately implemented.
- Assist with system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), validation, and quality assurance.
- Support the deployment and integration of new data models or enhancements.

**Maintenance and Continuous Improvement**:

- Provide expert-level support and maintenance for existing data models.
- Proactively identify opportunities for data model improvements and enhancements.
- Implement updates and improvements to existing data models as needed.

**Documentation and Training**:

- Create and maintain comprehensive data model documentation, including user manuals, technical guides, and process diagrams.
- Conduct training sessions and provide advanced support to end-users and stakeholders on data model functionalities and best practices.

**Skills and Competencies**:

- 5-8 years of experience as a Data Modeller or in a related role.

**Technical Expertise**:

- Deep understanding of data modelling principles and techniques.
- Extensive knowledge of AWS and cloud-based environments.
- Experience with data analysis, SQL, and data integration.
- Familiarity with data modelling tools and methodologies.

**Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills**:

- Strong analytical skills with the ability to tackle complex data models and processes.
- Expertise in translating intricate business requirements into detailed technical specifications.

**Advanced Communication Skills**:

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical information clearly.
- Strong presentation skills for stakeholder engagement and decision-making processes.

**Education Qualification**:

- University Qualification, Certificate, or Diploma aligned to relevant experience - Relevant Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma / recognised qualification from an accredited tertiary institution.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Data Analytics, CBIP) are highly desirable.
