**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Machine maintenance
- Ability to properly and accurately feed material into the machine
- Able to effectively adjust the machine settings according to the spec required
- Regulate speed of the machine/belt
- Regulate temperature
- Correct edge trimming and sanding of products
- Attending to customers and deal with their queries in a timeous, efficient manner whenever required
- Housekeeping
- Performs saw operator, machinist, cutter, timber, saw operator and edge binder function
- Safety & Security
- Ensuring that the cutting area is kept, tidy and free of obstacles.
- Reporting any stock shortages or stock-outs to a superior.
- Ensuring strict adherence to company safety policy and procedure in the operation of the saw / machine
- Reporting all failures in saw equipment and all accidents and injuries, of whatever nature, relating to use of the saw equipment or occurring in the cutting area to Management immediately
- Assisting with stock-take
- Ad hoc responsibilities
- To uphold and promote the company values and culture

**JOB REQUIREMENTS**:

- Matric/Grade 12
- 1 year industrial experience
- Admin and numeracy skills
- Good people skills
