Data Analyst ICT

Durban - Kwa Zulu Natal - South Africa

This role reports directly to the Group Executive HR. This position is newly created to assist in implementing SAGE in the HR department. Its primary objective is to bridge the gap between HR and Technology, optimising HR workforce management strategies through data-driven decision-making processes to effectively align people analytics initiatives with broader organisational goals.

In summary, the role requires proficiency in data analysis, real-time decision support, utilisation of cutting-edge tools and techniques, predictive modelling and forecasting skills, effective communication of technical insights, proactive insight generation, and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement to remain informed about emerging technologies.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelors Degree in IT, Data Science, or a related field.
- Advanced degree or certifications are advantageous

Experience
- 3 years minimum experience in HR and Business Analyst/
- 5 years minimum experience in HR and Business Analyst/ Project Management role preferred.
- Experience in people analytics, HRIS or a similar role is advantageous.

Essential Technical Skills:

- Experience in using SAGE for HR processes and analytics is essential
- Familiarity with business intelligence tools such as Power BI.
- Understanding of database management systems (e.g., SQL).
- Familiarity with HR technologies and performance management tools.
- Proficiency in statistical analysis and data interpretation to derive meaningful insights from HR data sets.
- Awareness of data privacy regulations and best practices, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and safeguarding employee information.
- Knowledge of programming languages such as Python or R for data analysis and manipulation tasks.
- Understanding of predictive modelling techniques and machine learning algorithms to forecast trends and identify patterns in HR data.
- Experience in integrating and managing large datasets from diverse sources, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and reliability.
- Sound knowledge of full MS Office packages (Office 365) with Advanced Excel
- Strong project management skills
