**Responsibilities**
- Operate and maintain up to two CNC lathes simultaneously.
- May assist Lead CNC Machine Operator with leadership responsibilities.
- Work from production orders to perform designated operations.
- Understanding of process improvement, component identification, material identification and inventory issues.
- Reduce lead times and follow company Process.
- Perform set-up, operate, and maintain manual drill press, engine & turret lathes and milling machine.
- Download & adjust part programs with wear and geometry offsets.
- Responsible for bar stock put away and disposal of waste chips.
- Maintain coolant and all oil levels on machines.
- Follow work order, blueprint and standard instructions during machine setup.
- Change collets, tool inserts, tool blocks and tool holders.
- Record all actions of machining on the HUB (Training will be provided)
- Assist with training of new operators.
- Eliminate non-value-added activities.
- Maintain safe work environment by following company safety procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Oversee routine maintenance.

**Qualifications**
- Matric
- Production Technology NQF 2-4
- Engineering studies
- CNC programming certificate
- 3 years in CNC programming role
- CNC Lathe and Milling machine programming
- MASTERCAM
