Job Summary
To advise the business and employees on Labour related matters, highlighting the risks to the business and employees alike whilst ensuring that fair and equitable employee relations outcomes are achieved.
Job Description
Implement ER Strategy: Socialize and cascade the ER strategy within the cluster and ensure that ER Policies, disciplinary code and procedures are implemented and embedded within the cluster. Measure and report on the ER climate in the environment as per cluster requirements. | Provide specialist ER advise: Ensure that ER operating model is applied within the cluster and Lead the capacitation of people managers, People partners in enhancing their skills levels in managing ER in the operating environment. Facilitate face to face workshops for people managers and decision makers on ER policy and procedures. Manage all disciplinary cases including cases involving senior employees of the Bank and attend to all CCMA cases. Refer all misconduct and grievance cases to be logged via the People experience centre for tracking and reporting purposes. Be available to support the cluster in external dispute resolution, e.g. Interaction with Sasbo - Representing Absa at the CCMA - Acting as liaison between the cluster and external parties acting against or on behalf of Absa.Build relationships with the recognised union on cluster matters and collaborate to manage union and organizational expectations : Act as key contact point for the planning and implementation of ER projects in the cluster: Support the business during the times of change leveraging the employee relation policy / standards and Group employee Relations for thought leadership and support.
Education
Bachelor's Degrees and Advanced Diplomas: Labour Law (required)
