**Scope of Responsibility**:
An exciting opportunity is available at Colgate Palmolive for a Senior Budget & Planning Analyst. The successful incumbent will be responsible for the provision of accurate financial information and leadership to the local teams as well as managing the NVOs and A&P budget.

**Key responsibilities**:
**1. Non Variable Overheads**
- Management of the NVOs for the different cost center owners.
- Monthly analysis of actual expenditure against budget by department, and explain any variances.
- Coordinate, consolidate and upload into SAP NVOs numbers for budgets and forecasts.
- Coordinate FTG task forces to deliver savings to reinvest in the business.

**2. Advertising & Promotions**
- Management of the advertising and promotions budget.
- Monthly analysis of A&P actual expenditure against budget by sub-brand by country, and explain any variances.
- Help marketers roll-out new product launches, including the resources needed for a successful launch.
- Coordinate, consolidate and upload into SAP A&P numbers for budgets and forecasts.
- Support the reporting function by detailing A&P for CFN report

**3. Month End Activities**
- Review FI, CO and PA reconciliations
- Perform BI validation
- Prepare NVOs and A&P accrual Journals for goods or services received but not Goods Receipted as at month end.
- Assist in checking SGA numbers by sub-brand before reporting.
- Help with answers to month end queries from AEA Division and New York
- SGA, NVOs, Margin, A&P, etc.
- Coordinate / prepare the NVO & Margin/Gross Profit roll forwards.
- Coordinate / prepare the marketing analysis for the quarterly FD commentary.

**4. Balance Sheet Planning**
- Analyze Net working capital and cash generation statements, as well as understanding the main differences versus estimates
- Coordinate / prepare Balance Sheet estimates, both for monthly estimates as well as Budget / LEs.

**5. Reporting**
- Compile P&Ls for month end reporting

**Required Qualifications**:

- A Bachelor's Degree preferably in Commerce or Finance, Honours an advantage
- Minimum 8 years of experience in budget & planning role
- Experience in an FMCG environment will be an added advantage.
