**Job Description** PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES**
To lead the team in Gqeberha(PE). To support the Regional Manager to achieve business objectives and ensure compliance to the company policies and business guidelines.
**SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES**
- To plan, organize and control Operations.
- To support the field auditors, inspectors and HSE & quality coordinator
- Manage and monitor the operational performance of all operations activities.
- Control the implementation and maintenance of technical and operational procedures.
- Control the implementation and maintenance of the Quality Control and Safety systems.
- Ensure that adequate and appropriate manpower resources, equipment and tools are available for total operational efficiency.
- Ensure liaison and technical support to all present and potential clients.
- Assist the Regional Manager with complaints and claim resolution.
- Assist the Regional Manager with technical and sales support as well as proposal co-ordination.
- Adhere to all quality and safety requirements of the SGS management system and country legislation and laws.
- Perform any other reasonable tasks as assigned by direct manager.
- Efficient planning and organisation of staff within safe operating conditions. This entails minimisation of overtime on site
- Participate and form part of Operational Integrity projects and campaigns.
- Be compliant to all SGS QHSE and HR policies and procedures.
- At all times, comply with SGS Code of Integrity and Professional Conduct.
- The basis upon which the opinion and interpretation is to be made shall be recorded. Opinions and interpretations shall only be made by designated (authorized) staff
**Specific Authorities**
- Cease the use of any equipment that may be deemed to constitute a safety hazard or entry to hazardous environments without the necessary knowledge and protection, and take action to address the hazard.
- Cease to carry on with work that may affect the quality (integrity) of services and take action to address the issue.
- Initiate a formal improvement request when a deviation of the system occurs, possible improvements are identified or when nonconformity is identified.
- Manage the petty cash usage at the site
- Provide revenue updates monthly
**Qualifications** Education**
- Sampling of Lumpy ore and ferroalloy manually
- Teaching the Sampler 1 Unit Goods
- Teaching the Sampler 2 Bulk Solids
- Teaching the Sampler 4 - bulk solids appendix
- Teaching the Sampler 5 - statistics
- Teaching the sampler 3 prep
- SHE Knowledge
- VLC SANAS ISO17025 Course.
**Experience**
- 5 years of management experience.
- Scheduling of staff
