Facilities Manager

Facilities Manager required for the iconic, upscaled Retail, Office & Residential **Melrose Arch Precinct **based in **Sandton**.
**Requirements of the role**:
- Overseeing Medium Voltage and Low Voltage systems.
- Manage the operations and maintenance requirements of switchgear, transformers, panels, circuits, gels and oils.
- Manage standby power systems including but not limited to generators, UPS, inverters and solar. Supervise the operations and maintenance requirements for these types of installations.
- Oversee and set parameters and notifications, manage alarms, read graphics, request programming changes where necessary.
- Strong knowledge of power factor correction.
- Manage and improve utilities consumption across the Precinct.
- Analyse and provide solutions to prevent increases or losses in utility consumption.
- Develop sustainability initiatives that can be used to manage utility consumption on the Precinct.
- Supervision of both in-house personnel and external maintenance contractors.
- Drafting of Contracts and SLAs for performance monitoring.
- Budget setting and control.
- Project planning is a very important aspect of the role.
- Engineering degree (preferably electrical engineering)
- Strong BMS (Building Management System) knowledge and experience required
- Must be technologically savvy
- Experience in the property sector is highly advantageous
- Strong communication skills
