**Description**:
Our client is launching an exciting new project and are looking for a Project Manager to lead the project, along with 3 other partner organisations based in PMB. Incumbent would need to have project management experience with operational and financial oversight, preferable if the individual has a passion for early child development at home.

**Purpose of the role**:

- Stakeholder relationships - Identify strategic partnerships and build co-operative relationships. Develop relationships with local government stakeholders. Establish a join co-ordinating structure with participation by government stakeholders locally.
- Manage and co-ordinate partnership operation - facilitate co-operation to achieve the implementation of the Play Mat Programme through local partner organisations. Manage co-operation to deliver on time within budget.
- Operational Research - working alongside experienced consultants, co-ordinate data collection for monitoring, evaluation, reporting, learning and operational research.
- Advocacy Strategy - Develop advocacy and communications for change strategy at different levels, targeting parents, partners, stakeholders and National Networks.
- Oversee project delivery within budget
- Project donor liaison relationships and reporting

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- 3 - 5 years professional experience in project management with operational and financial oversight
- Experience in building and managing partnership relationships
- Experience in managing stakeholder relationships including co-operation with government departments local, district and provincial
- A sound understanding of a rights based approach
- Experience in Advocacy a distinct advantage

**Ideal**:

- Passionate about early child development at home -what parents and caregivers can do
- Passionate about systematic change to support implementation of key support for parents and caregivers
- Excellent facilitation skills
- Excellent report writing skills
- Open to travel within KZN and RSA
