**Full job description**

We are looking for a Credit Controller for a client based in the UK with group companies in the UK, EMEA & India. In this role you will ensure money is collected from customers according to the terms and conditions of contracts, resolving customers invoice queries in a timely manner to facilitate payment and ensuring collections are in line with set targets.

**Main Duties and Responsibilities**:
As a key member of the credit control team, you will report to Head of Finance and work on:

- Resolving customer queries regarding payments and invoice queries in a timely and efficient manner.
- Raising any necessary invoice or credit notes on customer accounts.
- Transferring and allocating payments.
- Meeting monthly cash collection targets set by the Head of Finance to reduce company debt and debtor days.
- Liaising with all other departments, including working closely with the Sales team to ensure excellent customer service is maintained at all times.
- General administration of accounts including updating customer contacts, addresses and PO numbers.
- Work alongside the Sales team and Client Services team to manage and restructure customer accounts.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in a Credit Controller position is essential
- The ability to manage difficult conversations, whilst maintaining a positive relationship with customers.

**Salary**:
R12-15,000 per month gross (depending on experience)

**Working Hours**:
Monday - Friday 11:00 - 19:30 with on hour for lunch

**Holidays**:
15 days paid holiday + bank holidays

Pay: R12 000,00 - R15 000,00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Durban, KwaZulu-Natal: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- Diploma (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Debt Collection: 1 year (preferred)
- Credit Controller: 1 year (required)

**Language**:

- English (required)
