Lead Electrician

Job Description: The employee will be responsible for:

- Reviewing blueprints or technical diagram
- Sign off COC's
- Overseeing the installation and maintenance of wiring, control, and lighting systems
- Carrying out inspections on electrical components, such as transformers and circuit breakers
- Training and directing workers to install, maintain, and/or repair electrical wiring equipment.
- Installing electrical apparatus, equipment, and fixtures for systems such as alarm
- Troubleshooting electrical issues with the appropriate utilization of relevant testing devices
- Complying strictly with National Electrical Code state and local building regulations
- Carrying out plans for electrical wiring for well-functioning lighting, intercom, and other electrical systems.
- Supervising an electrical team
- Additional administrative tasks
- H&S Responsibilities - as per company policies

Job Requirements:

- Matric Qualifications
- Registration with Electrical Contracting Board (Able to sign off COC's)
- National Certificate on Electrical Engineering (N1-N6) or equivalent
- Electrical Trade Test
- Registered Wireman’s License
- Must have Driver's License Code 8 and/or Code 10
- South African Citizenship

- Benoni, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Electrician: 2 years (preferred)

License/Certification:

- Wireman’s License (preferred)
- Trade test (preferred)

Willingness to travel:

- 50% (preferred)
