You will be working as Service Sales Specialist and will be part of Process Automation business area for Energy Industries division based in Longmeadow, South Africa. In this role you will be reporting to Service Sales Manager and will be responsible for sales of products/systems/services within a designated market in accordance with strategy, build long term customer relationships and manage resolution to specific customer needs and issues, identify and develop sales opportunities.
**Your responsibilities**:
- Selling products/systems/services to customers, focusing on volume, mix and profitability targets for assigned Business Units/Product Groups, establishing and maintaining effective customer relationships to understand customer needs, promoting customer understanding of full product/systems/ services offering and aligning to provide a solution
- Ensuring a positive customer experience throughout the sales process, preparing sales plans using company tools, performing regular status reviews and proposing recovery plans in cases of potential order shortfalls
- Creating added value for the customer and ABB and ensuring the successful outcome of transactions, contracts and proposals by using effective sales techniques, communicating details in accordance with ABB offering and strategy (delivery time, payments, and general terms and conditions)
- Ensuring efficient marketing activities and value proposition to customers, identifying and driving the development of new market opportunities in the designated market and ensures know-how sharing and cross-collaboration
- Leading the risk review process in coordination with the bid and proposal department by coordinating the risk identification and mitigation process and managing the Risk Review Database in accordance with ABB policy
- Managing administrative procedures in sales and supports collection and project management activities when needed, preparing offers in coordination with the bid and proposal department and/or the Marketing Manager and ensuring appropriate technical and financial aspects of offers, including prices and trading conditions
**Your background**:
- National Diploma in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent qualification
- Minimum 5 - 10 years of experience in Energy Industries and 10 years of experience in Sales
- Experience in dealing with Customers (Technical/Sales)
- Great verbal and written communication skills
- Understanding of Commercial terms and conditions along with being an analytical thinker, with communication and interpersonal skills, combined with the ability to communicate effectively at all level
