Digital Solutions Specialist

The Digital Solutions specialist will be expected to (included but not limited to):

- Understand the telecommunications Enterprise Architecture Framework and how the digital ecosystem and landscapes envelope and interact with each other
- API and microservices understanding and a strategy to replace legacy interfaces with the cloud-based strategy
- Participate in projects developing new products or features
- Document technical processes and new project requirements
- Be able to standardize processes and procedures
- Maintain strategies and procedures for optimisation and modernisation of current digital platforms in the ecosystem
- Liaise with product owners, service-consumers, technical leads and vendors across a culturally diverse environment;
- Have passion and enthusiasm for the mobile industry and have an in interest in digital services as a future of telecommunications as well as ensuring that there is a good customer experience (living the customer experience)
- Ensure that security standards are adhered to as part of governance
- Work together with the broader team to close off audit findings
- Perform and understand Wireshark and network traces;
- Ensure that the responsible stakeholder can engage in manual testing and regression testing. **A good data connection is essential
- Be able to troubleshoot and work together with operations counterparts and vendors to solve customer complaints
- Engage and escalate technical issues to 3rd line reporting for vertical planning around mitigation of future issues;
- Have a broad, system-level understanding of mobile network infrastructure

- Managing budgets and forecasting costs with suppliers

**General experience required in any of the following areas**:

- Experience working directly for or with digital platforms and vendors in the service delivery space as well as mobile advertising in a telecommunications environment
- Experience in IT and Telecommunications
- VAS and Digital systems experience/ interaction
- Basic scripting skills in any/ all of the following: - Perl, Python, SQL, Linux/Unix Shells, Office 365
- Good database skills (SQL in particular) Oracle preferable, but others such as MySQL are fine
- Solid understanding of networking and IP
- Advantageous SS7, SIGTRAN, SIP
- Systems analysis and design
- Some working knowledge of hardware and concepts such as EOL, EOS
- Virtualisation and cloud experience are advantageous but not essential on the job training will be available
- Good document writing skills with the ability to map out user stories, used cases in a detailed, yet clear and concise manner in the context of doing Systems Analysis and design
- Good record keeping skills with the ability to clearly map out System Procedures in a detailed, yet clear and concise manner
