Press Foreman

**Job Advert Summary**:
PG Bison in Boksburg is seeking a qualified and experienced Press Foreman to take full responsibility for managing and overseeing press operations within the manufacturing plant. This role involves supervising production staff, maintaining machinery and equipment, enforcing safety and quality standards, and achieving daily production targets.We are looking for someone who is willing and able to work shifts, including nights and weekends as required by the production schedule.

**Minimum Requirements**:

- Grade 12 (National Senior Certificate)
- Diploma in Production or Operations Management/ Timber Wood Technology
- 2 -5 years supervisory experience in manufacturing or technical environment

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Managing Production outputs line with operational specifications and quality requirements.
- To coordinate all Production needs and priorities on the Site on shift basis. And lead the Production team after hours from the Logyard, Boilers, Refiner, Drying, Press Line and sanding line
- To manage and coordinate the breakdowns, Quality, Safety and Environments on shift basis
- Measuring and reporting on performance Production Process.
- Ensure production schedules are adhered to.
- Monitoring and analysing production reports on a daily basis
- Ensure the operation of machines within specifications by:

- Physically checking optimal operating speeds, thickness and size tolerances & machine feed speeds
- Communicating machine specifications to teams
- Initiating corrective actions where necessary
- To manage and control Raw material usages on shift basis by ensuring that all products are manufactured within set budget and parameters
- To measure and report production activities.
- Supporting the maintenance function to ensure availability and reliabilityMaintain a Safe and Healthy working environment.
